How do I sign up?
Enter your details on the Sign up page on this website. Once you have complrted the form and submitted it to us, you will be sent an email to verify your email address. Click on the embedded link in this email to verify your email address and entre Bicker Manor. If for any reason the embedded link doesn't work in correctly, input the email verifiaction code provided in the email into the page you're directed back to.
How do I add my mobile phone?
When you have signed up you will be given a code to register you mobile phone. Send this code via SMS using your phone to the number provided. You will receive a confirmation message back via SMS tell you if your phone has been successfully registered.
Do I need email messages?
If you've selected for us to contact you via email, Michaela will be able to let you know when new missions are available. Handy if you need a reminder to look at the website. You can go back and select ‘no messages’ if you don’t want to receive them.
How do I know I have a mission to do?
If you have signed up to play on your mobile you will be sent Mini Missions directly to your phone by SMS. You will also be sent an SMS message to let you know a Mega Mission is available for you to look at on Web or on BT Vision. Alternatively, if you have selected email messages, we will use this to let you know when a new mission is available.
If a mission has been sent to you by Eve or Isambard it will appear in 'Your Missions' under 'Mission' on your home page after signing in. You will also be able to see additional missions available to you in 'Extra Missions' in the 'Missions' area on the website and on BT Vision.
Why does 'Your Missions' have missions I can't do?
Most Missions will only be active for set periods of time. All Missions will stay in 'Your Missions' for about a day after they have timed out, to give you a chance to see the results and compare your answers with those of others. Once you've looked at this type of mission it will automatically be moved into the 'Completed Missions' area.
How long does a mission last?
Mini Missions run for about a day. Ususally, if you don’t answer by 11pm it will automatically time out. Make sure you check it out online so it moves into your completed missions area.
Mega Missions are usually Active for about 4 days. It might ask you from the outset all you need to do, or contact you everyday if you need something at a certain time.
How can I do a mission I've missed or has timed out?
All missions that have timed out will be in the Extra Missions. Simply click on the mission to previw and start it. But remember that you'll only be able to see the missions provied by the character you support.

Under Home you'll find a "how to play" page which gives you more details.
What technical support will I get?
I’m afraid we don’t have a helpline for this trial but if you send an email to info@bickermanor.com with your problem a member of the team will try to help.
How do I upload a photo or a video?
If you have taken a photo or a video for a mission you can upload it to your My Media folder in one of two ways. If you have registered your mobile phone you can MMS it to the Bicker Manor number. On the website – you’ll need to sign in first – then go to ‘You > Your Media > Media Upload. Click on ‘browse’ to locate your file on your computer and press select. You can add a description to your video or picture. Once you’ve uploaded it you’ll need to link it to the right mission.
Don’t upload anything you don’t own the copyright to. We’ll only have to remove them if we find them. It’s illegal to upload copyrighted material.
How do I link my photo or video to a mission?
When you are in My Media select "Link Media to a Mission". You will see the media files you have uploaded. Next to the file will be the option to select which of the current missions you want it to be linked to. Hit submit and the job is done. If you want to add more than one file to a mission then you will need to start the mission again from 'Extra missions' and return to "link Media to a Mission" page.
What Kind of Videos Can I Post?
Isambard or Eve will let you know the type of thing there are looking for you to record. That will be in the mission. But we want you to have fun and be creative. But that does have some limits. No adult material (pornography), copyrighted material, criminal behaviour or illegal content. Remember to be safe. We’d like to post things you’d like your friends and family would be happy to see.
What video and image formats can I upload?
We've tried our best to support a range of different video and image formats, but we've bound to have not covered everything. Currently we accept AVI, MOV, WMV video formats and JPG, BMP and TIF image formats.
How big or small files can I upload?
You can go as small as you like, but we'd rather not have to handle anything over 100Mb please. We don't display videos larger than 320 x 240 pixels, so please don't try to upload HD content as it will take 'forever' to upload and it won't improve the quality of the videos and photos that gets shown on the website or BT Vision.
Hints and tips for videos and images
You'll need to have a device that can capture digital films or photos —this could be a camcorder, digital camera or even your mobile phone! Copy your photos and videos to your computer and then you can either upload them as-is or edit them with software, such as iMovie or Windows Movie Maker to add titles and special effects.
You can also upload directly to Bicker Manor from your mobile phone using MMS. But, remember your standard network rates will apply.
We can accept most of the common image and video formats, including AVI, WMV, MOV, BMP and JPG.
What browser does this run in?
Well we haven’t had chance to test everything. At the moment we're confident it will run in Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 3. We know there are a few problem in IE6, but we're working on those.

How do I find more out about the family?
You can find out more about the Michaela, Eve and Isambard by exploring the Bickers menu. But the best way to get to know them is by doing their crazy Missions.

How will my contact details be used?
We only use them so you can take part in the trial. We won't share you details with anyone else and all your details will be deleted at the end of March 2009.
How will my content be used?
Only those images and videos that you've linked to a mission are available for other people to see. These are shown in a number of places on teh site including; Michaela’s Top Ten, Your Top Rated, Michaela’s Media Mashup, and your own public profile page. If you do not link them to a mission they will stay "for your eyes only" in 'Your Media Album'.
When you answer a question, you’re answer will be collected and compared statistically with those of other players – and you’ll get message with the results. A similar thing happens to numbers - its added to the pot and we add it up with the others.
We’ll be measuring events that happen by measuring things - like popular missions, when people liked to respond and also what device people prefer to use – that sort of thing.
Will it cost me anything to take part?
If you send SMS and MMS messages you will incur your network costs for doing so. Other than that the trial is free other than your normal service provision agreements.
Can all my family take part?
The more the merrier! Please remember to supervise your children if they want to try out the missions. Each member of the family can have their own account and sign in to it on both the Website and on BT Vision.
How old do I need to be to take part?
We think you should be 14 or over to sign up for your own account. But if younger people want to take part they should do so with a parental or guardian supervision.
Is there a difference in supporting Eve or Isambard?
Eve and Isambard have different missions to give you. To learn more about Eve and Isambard and the types of things they'll ask you to do in Missions see their own profile pages under 'The Bickers' on the website. Once you have picked a character to support you will only be able to get Missions from that character. To do Missions from the other character you'll need to swap sides by doing a 'Time to Pick Sides' Mission.
Can I change sides?
Yes you can. There is a 'Time to Pick Side's Mission provided by Michaela in 'Extra Missions' which lets you do that.
What happens to my points?
You get points for every mission you complete. The more Missions you do the greater your total points score will become. Eve and Isambard also get points for all the Missions you complete for them. Eve Missions count towards Eve’s score and Isambard’s Missions count towards his score.
What is a mission?
Basically a mission is something Eve or Isambard ask you to do to help them score as many points as possible. A simple Mini Mission can ask you to choose the right answer or a funny answer in a multiple choice question. A Mega Mission might ask you to do something like make a sculpture and show us and everyone else a video or photo of it.
Do I have to complete a mission as soon as I get it?
No. Especially if you need to go and check a few numbers or do something round the house. But remember that there are time limits so you can't leave them for days at a time and do them in a bundle.
I can’t see Completed Missions on Vision?
We can’t fit everything in – but you can see and do some missions. You can also browse mission results in the media mashup, Michaela's Top Ten and Your Top Ten.
